My biological body is programmed but plastic.
Biometric techniques isolate the body from its milieu. They consider its matter to be determined and try to establish reliable characteristics that would make a person one and not another. Is then biology telling me who I am? Body is in this way cut off from its sensorial capacities and embodied knowledge. I live through my body, I change with my body. I am my body. I am biological and phenomenological simultaneously. How to think of the 'body' and identity within biology? How is technology influencing our understanding of the biological?
